Schedule a call and explain your current needs and health concerns. Our intake team will listen closely and help you determine what services may be right for you.

Schedule an Intake Appointment

Let us know if you’re enrolled in a waiver or state-funded program, or if you plan to use private pay. We accept:

  • Private Paying Clients is our main priority as an agency

  • CHC Waiver

  • OBRA Waiver

  • Act 150

  • Medicare will be available and accepted soon

  • Insurances will be accepted in the near future such as Aetna,  PA health & wellness, Ameri health,  UPMC Health partners, Geisinger, United healthcare, Humana, Blue Cross Blue Shield, high Mark, Keystone health Plan , etc…

We can also assist you with determining eligibility for any of these programs.

Confirm Your Funding Source

Be prepared to demonstrate your experience and professionalism during the orientation. You’ll also have a chance to meet our staff and discuss your skills, availability, and goals.

Meet & Greet with Clients

After orientation, we’ll schedule a meet-and-greet between you and a potential client. This is part of our values—we make sure the match is a great fit for both sides.

Start Date Assignment

Once the meet-and-greet is successful and the family agrees, we will finalize your start date. Welcome aboard—you’re officially part of the October Home Care family!

Types of Care We Offer

Skilled Home Health Services

Skilled Nursing (RN & LPN)

Medication management, wound care, IV therapy, disease education, post-surgical support, and ongoing assessments.

Medical Consultation & Oversight

Access to medical advice and care coordination from a licensed physician (MD) to ensure treatment aligns with best practices and goals of care.

Physical Therapy

Restorative care plans to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore functional independence.

Occupational Therapy

Assistance with fine motor skills, home safety adaptations, and regaining independence in daily living activities.

Home Health Aide Services

Compassionate assistance with bathing, dressing, meal prep, and basic personal care, all under the supervision of licensed nurses.

Non-Medical Home Care Services

Direct Care Services

One-on-one support for individuals needing daily guidance and structure, including help with errands, routines, and social support.

Respite Care

Temporary relief for primary caregivers—so you can rest and recharge while we ensure continuous care and safety.

Personal Assistance Services (PAS)

Help with hygiene, mobility, grooming, feeding, light housekeeping, and companionship.

Community-Based and Intellectual Disability Services

Pediatric Services (Ages 0–18) Coming Soon!

Care and support for children with disabilities, medical needs, or behavioral challenges. Services are delivered with sensitivity to the unique needs of young people and their families.

Support for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities

Person-centered services focused on independence, social inclusion, and developmental growth, supported by highly trained direct support professionals.

Community Integration Services

We support individuals in participating in community events, volunteer opportunities, and independent living activities tailored to personal goals.
